Instructions

 

*First attempt to remove the stain(s) with Surface Care or All Natural Wood Cleaner Spray (consult technical data sheet for use). If the stain is not removed, follow the steps below*.

STEP 1. Spray Tannin Remover on the stain.

STEP 2. Let absorb for 2 to 3 minutes.

STEP 3. Dab dry with a cloth or a paper towel (do not wipe!).

STEP 4. Clean the whole surface thoroughly after. Use a damp cloth for this or clean with Surface Care.

 

Tips & Tricks

 

  • For the removal of stubborn stains, you may need to repeat the procedure above several times until the stains have completely disappeared.
  • After treatment with Tannin Remover or if the stain has penetrated too deeply into the wood, it may be necessary to locally reapply some oil in the original colour.
  • Do not use Rubio Monocoat stain removers (Tannin, Grease and Limespot Removers) on surfaces pre-treated with reactive products (reactive stains).

 

Remarks

 

  • The product can be stored for 12 months in a dry environment and in the original packaging.
  • Store in a frost-free place.

 

Tannin Remover is a ready-to-use product for removing circles or stains on wood caused by the reaction of acid and water. These stains often occur in a combination of moisture and metal (e.g. a moist can of soft drink on a countertop). The product can be used on untreated, oiled and waxed surfaces and is also suitable for outdoor applications. The product does not damage the wooden surface treated with Rubio Monocoat oil.

The product Tannin Remover is suitable for these types of stains:

  • Urine (from pets, children, etc.)
  • Rust stains
  • Rings/stains from cans, flower pots, ...
  • After water damage on parquet
  • In case of efflorescence on outside wood (on the bottom of gates, doors, on walls, etc.)
