Oil Plus 2C - Interior wood oil

Oil Plus 2C is a true oil of the newest generation thanks to its revolutionary binding. The product molecularly bonds with the wood fibres in the surface to be treated and thus protects and colours your wood in a single layer. This avoids overlaps and marks, and you get low consumption and long-lasting protection.
  • Colours and protects all interior wood in 1 layer
  • Safe & ecological: 0% VOC
  • Time & cost efficient
  • Natural look and feel for all wood types
  • Easy application and maintenance

Good to know: We recommend using the B component (accelerator). This way the surface is dry after 24 hours and cured after 5 days. After curing, the surface can be cleaned with water and soap.

Don't forget: The colours of linseed oil are shown differently on each wood type. We strongly recommend you test the colour on a small part first before finishing your entire project.

If the surface treated with Oil Plus 2C shows a lot of wear and tear, or needs a colour repair, we recommend maintenance with Oil Plus 2C in the original colour.

STEP 1. Use Deep Cleaner to make the wooden surface stain-free. Should stains remain, repeat the cleaning process or use one of our stain removers (Grease Remover, Limespot Remover or Tannin Remover). Please consult the technical data sheet before use.

*If the wooden object is excessively damaged or neglected, you will first need to polish the surface with the same screening grit you used to finish your wooden object initially. If necessary, please consult your professional.

STEP 2. Remove the dissolved dirt with a damp cloth or mop and clean water and allow the surface to dry well (± 30 minutes at a temperature of 20°C and in a well-ventilated room).

Tips & Tricks

  • The product may not be diluted under any circumstances!
  • Stir the product well before applying.
  • When using several units on one site, it is recommended to mix them to obtain an even result.
  • After application, the surface may appear slightly shiny. This will disappear after 2-3 cleanings with Universal Soap or Surface Care.
  • The smoother the surface, the less oil and pigments will penetrate into the wood, resulting in a less coloured surface.
  • Our oils are developed with environmentally friendly ingredients. However, some people may be allergic to certain elements. Therefore, we recommend wearing gloves when applying the A+B component in order to protect the skin.

Consumption

  • Consumption: 30 - 50 m²/L
  • These consumption rates are indicative only. Results depend on the type of wood and the preparation. It is always advisable to apply a sample in order to determine the exact consumption.

Remarks
  • Linseed oil is a natural product and not subject to spontaneous combustion. However, oil on a cloth or other tools does entail a fire risk. The oxidation of the oil leads to heat accumulation, which can result in spontaneous combustion. Therefore, the cloths and other tools must be soaked in water before disposal.
  • The product can be stored for 36 months in a dry environment and in the original packaging.
  • Oil Plus 2C may be used for a maximum of 4-6 hours after mixing the A & B components.
  • Colours serve only as examples. We recommend carrying out a test on identical sanded wood.
